With a single tap, Live Caption automatically captions videos, podcasts and audio messages – even stuff that you record yourself. Without ever needing Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Smart Reply
In Android 10, you get more than just suggested responses to your messages. You also get recommended actions. So, if a friend asks you out to dinner, your phone will suggest that you text '👍🏻'. Then, it’ll also pull up directions right in Google Maps. It even works in messaging apps like Signal.

Focus mode
For getting in the zone and blocking out distractions. Focus mode lets you select apps to pause temporarily. So if you want to turn off a distracting app to get something done, all you have to do is tap.

Separate input method for work and personalYou can now use your favourite keyboard in the personal profile while IT can require a separate input method for the work profile.
Suggested actions in notificationsAndroid can now generate suggested replies and actions for all messaging notifications. And developers will be able to opt out or supply their own suggestions.
New emojisAndroid 10 introduces 65 new emojis, including gender-inclusive designs for emojis like haircut, weightlifting and sauna.
Share Wi-FiNow, you can share your Wi-Fi details with guests via a QR code while keeping your password secure.
Improved sharesheetIt's now quicker and easier to share content from apps with your contacts. You can also preview content before you send it.
Adaptive Battery improvementsLaunched in Android 9, this feature uses machine learning to predict which apps you'll use in the next few hours and which you likely won't, so your phone only uses battery power on the apps that you care about.
New location controls and reminderYou now have more control over how, or if, your location data is shared. When an app asks for permission to access your location information, you can now grant it access all the time, while the app is in use, or deny it access. If an app has access to location data all the time, Android will remind you with a one-time notification. Want to change that access? Simply go to your settings.
Android Emergency Location ServiceAndroid helps to keep you safe when urgent situations occur. 'ELS' can send enhanced location details directly from Android handsets to emergency services when an emergency call is placed.

Contaminant detectionIf moisture or debris is detected in your USB port, a notification will be sent to you and accessories will not function.
Priority notificationsWith Android 10, you can organise and prioritise notifications by marking them as 'silent' or 'alerting'. Silent and alerting notifications are separated in the notifications bar, making it easier for you to see what needs your attention.
Manage notificationsIt's easier to find and manage notification settings straight from the notifications panel. Just pull it down, scroll to the bottom and tap manage in the bottom-left corner.
Dark themeYou can now turn your UI and first-party apps dark by activating Dark theme in settings. This is easy on the eyes, and helps saves battery, too.
Android AutoAndroid Auto now comes built in some cars as standard. If you car includes Android Auto built in, you can simply plug in your phone and start using Android on your car's display (when your car is stationery). No app download needed.
Dynamic System UpdatesThis feature allows developers to load a different system image on their device for testing without affecting their original system image.
